Meet Your Instructor: Wes

Hi, I’m Wes (he/they)—voice coach and music educator. I specialize in helping singers explore their voices with authenticity, curiosity, and joy.

My background is rooted in contemporary styles (pop, rock, indie, musical theatre), and I bring over a decade of experience in teaching, performing, and directing. I hold a B.A. in Music from the University of Maryland and an M.A.T. in Music Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

As a specialist in “modern band” and contemporary music, I’ve taught in Pennsylvania public schools across all grade levels—from Kindergarten through high school. In my private coaching practice, I work with people of all ages.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes the playful exploration of personal style, grounded in healthy vocal technique. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel free to experiment and approach each session with an open mind—and a willingness to make some wonderfully weird sounds.
